Cancer Free Kids’ “Live for Liz” Event

Cancer Free Kids’ “Live for Liz” Event
William Mason High School is proud to host an event for Cancer Free Kids, an organization that works to eradicate cancer as a life-threatening disease in children by funding promising research that might otherwise go unfunded.

About William Mason High School’s “Live For Liz” Event
Liz Lothrop was a Mason graduate who was diagnosed with Leukemia October 25, 2008. She went into remission February 17, 2011. After her first round of chemotherapy, doctors discovered a brain tumor on June 15, 2015. She fought a hard fight and was an inspiration to all of us. Liz will be with us in loving memory.
This event will be a Mason vs. Sycamore Varsity girls basketball game, where both teams are coming together to fight “one fight” in loving memory of Liz Lothrop. Liz has impacted both schools, as her father is a teacher at Sycamore and Liz attended Mason.
This game will be taking place in the Mason Middle School arena at 2pm on Saturday, February 11
Live for Liz t-shirts are being sold for $8, bracelets are being sold for $15 and tattoos for $3.
All proceeds will go towards a grant for pediatric cancer research in Liz’s name, provided by Cancer Free Kids.
