Mason Schools Stay in Academic Top 10

Mason’s students once again performed as some of the State’s highest academic achievers – earning the 7th highest score in the state while spending $2,444 less than the average Top 10 district. Mason students met adequate yearly progress and met the expected growth.

PSAT & PLAN Test, October 17th, 2012

Wednesday, October 17th is testing day at Mason High School for all 10th and 11th graders. There will be an adjusted bell schedule, so please visit this (link) in order to view the schedule of events by grade level.

The PSAT will be taken by all juniors, and no registration is necessary. Students should report to their homerooms for testing.

Mason Students Star in Lunch Video about Making “My Plate” Complete

 

Mason students were welcomed back to school with a greater variety of healthy food selections on their cafeteria’s menu. But, along with those new selections, came some new rules.

“We can’t say it too much -- fruits and vegetables are the star attraction as we start the school year. To make lunch a complete meal, students must take at least one fruit or one vegetable,” said Tamara Earl, Child Nutrition Supervisor.

Homecoming Dance September 29, 2012

Homecoming is right around the corner! Students at Mason High School can purchase their homecoming tickets on Edline this year. There is going to be a pep assembly during school on Friday, September 28, 2012. There will also be a homecoming football game after school on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 7:30 against Colerain.

 

Students who are wanting to bring a guest, should turn in the guest form as soon as possible to the student activities office, so that we have it for September 19. 

Mason Graduation 2012

Commencement will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Cintas Center on the Xavier University Campus. Commencement will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Doors will be open to the public at 1:00 p.m. Graduates should arrive at 12:30 p.m. Special seating will be available for handicapped guests. Tickets will not be required for commencement.

2 Mason Students to Represent Ohio at National History Day Competition

Mason students aren't just learning about history - they are making  history! On April 29, twelve Mason City Schools students competed in the Ohio History Day Competition at The Ohio State University.  MHS freshman Sonia Yeolekar and Mason Middle School seventh grader Aditya Jog each were selected to represent Ohio at the national competition in College Park, Maryland this June.
