The girl's swimming and diving team won their third consecutive GMC Championship this past Sunday.  The Comets overwhelmed second place Sycamore by a 585-364 margin.
 
The Lady Comets had a number of stellar 1st place finishes.  Breanne Keenan, Morgan Emter, Katie Heywood, and Betsy Stemple won the 200 medley relay.
 
All-American Danielle Jansen set a league record winning the 200 IM.  Betsy Stemple, Kayla Wiemers, Cari Caprio, and Danielle Jansen placed 1st in the 200 freestyle relay.  The 400 freestyle relay was won by Emily Faas, Morgan Emter, Cari Caprio, and Danielle Jansen setting a new league record.  Morgan Emter was the GMC champion in the 100 breaststroke.  Megan Helwagen won the 1-meter diving championship.
 
The boys swimming and diving teams finished 2nd overall behind first place Sycamore by a 477-384 margin. Sever Trifan finished 1st in the 100 breaststroke.  Sean Sargent place first in the 1 meter Diving competition.

Mason will host and compete in the Sectional Championships on Feb. 12th and 13th.
