Scott Stemple
Athletic Director

Scott enters his second year as Director of Athletics for Mason CIty Schools where he oversees 29 different sport activities.

Scott is a 1980 graduate of Northmont High School. He pursued his college degree at Ohio Northern University where he obtained a teaching degree in Social Studies and was team captain and letterman in basketball. He has a combined 21 years of interscholastic and intercollegiate administrative, teaching and coaching experience.

He started his teaching and coaching career in 1984 as a student teacher at Lima Senoir High School while being the Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach at Ada High School. In 1985 he became a social studies teacher and Head Boys' Basketball Coach at Kyger Creek High School ( now River Valley) near Gallipolis, Ohio where he stayed for three seasons before moving on to Kenton High School as Head Boys' Basketball Coach for two seasons.

In 1990, he accepted a position as a graduate assistant in the men's basketball program at Ohio University where he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education and Athletic Administration. After completing his master's degree in 1991, Scott became a physical education instructor and head boy's coach at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo. In 1994, would leave high school teaching and coaching as he moved on to Wilmington College as an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Physical Education and Head Men's Basketball Coach. In his first five years at Wilmington he was both head men's basketball and head men's tennis coach.

Before coming to Mason, Scott was Director of Athletics for Sidney City Schools where he was in charge of all athletic grades 7-12. Scott is a member of both the Ohio and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. Residing in Mason, he and his wife Kris have four daughters, Megan, Katie, Betsy and Abbi.

Cathy Crotty
Assistant Director of Athletics

Cathy enters her 14th year with Mason City Schools. She graduated from Alter High School and attended the Ohio State University. Cathy resides in Mason with her husband Mike, her son, Sean who is a senior at Bowling Green State University and her daughter, Dani who is a freshman at Lynchburg College.

Eric Silverman
Administrative Assistant HS Athletic Department

Eric is in his first year as Administrative Assistant at Mason High School.  He is a 2002 graduate of MHS and went on to OU where he graduated in 2006 with a degree in sports management.  He spent all last year interning for the OHSAA in Columbus.

Michael Moore
Mason Athletic Trainer

Mike is a contracted athletic trainer with Middletown Regional Hospital for Mason. Mike is a graduate of Wilmington College where he was awarded the Ohio Athletic Training Association's Excellence in Research Award.
