Drawing I
(.5 credit)
Basic drawing skills will be taught using a variety of artistic materials. It is designed for the beginning, but serious, art student, as well as for that person wishing to further develop drawing skills already acquired. This course is the first step towards developing a portfolio for college admissions requirements.

Drawing II
(.5 credit)
Students will extend experiences and skills gained in Drawing I. Students will explore various old and new mediums such as pastels, pencils, markers, and mixed media. Students will acquire knowledge and creative inspiration from art history as they explore themes for self-expression with an emphasis on self-portraiture. Drawing projects are designed to meet the needs of future art portfolio students.

Drawing III
(.5 credit)
This advanced drawing course will explore the direction of Modern art with a focus on abstract and non-objective imagery. A variety of artists will be explored in an attempt to understand and create abstract and non-objective art works. Students wil work with a variety of mixed medias. For students planning to pursue a degree in the Visual Arts this will be an opportunity to further develop a portfolio that is well rounded and competitive.
