Seven juniors will represent Mason High School at the Buckeye Boys and Girls State programs this summer. Sponsored by the American Legion, this week long program is a hands-on experience designed to educate young men and women in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of good citizenship. Students develop leadership and pride as American citizens; learn about our system of government and the organization of political parties; and develop a greater understanding of American traditions. Juniors Michael Knight, Ryan Lyons, Gus Uecker and Sam Whipple will attend Boys State at Bowling Green State University beginning on June 10. Representing MHS at Girls State at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio on June 10 will be Molly Frankel, Rhea Malhotra and Tina Zhang.
