8th Grade Tours

October 6, 2014- The step from middle school to high school is a big step for anyone.

At MHS the SIBS have created a way to smooth that transition for the middle school students. The SIBS have created tours to bring the 8th graders around MHS to see where they will be going to school for the next four years.

Jeff Schlaeger and Beth Celenza run the SIBS organization, and are the brains behind the operation. They wanted to show how MHS is one big family, and even though a lot of people have different interests and are different ages everyone cares just the same in order to help them be successful.

“The students can be excited, nervous, overwhelmed, and we hope , ultimately reassured that they won’t get lost and forgotten in this big place,” Schlaeger said. “There are connections and many people who care.”
