Homecoming Parade

Mason Homecoming Parade 2014
September 25, 2014- People say that you bleed green and white while at Mason. But the tradition lives on at Mason High School. In honor of that tradition living on senior, Jenelle Lee has decided to create a homecoming parade in honor of the alumni coming back to Mason.
“It’s a giant welcome to the alumni,” Lee said. “People who graduated Mason in years past came back to Mason and the parade it just a way to kick off homecoming weekend.”
The parade will be taking place around Mason High School. It will be staged in Rose Hill Cemetery, and finish in the upper senior lot.

“This reminds them that you graduated from Mason,” Lee said. “And you should have pride in graduating there.”

This year Student Government is proud to bring back the Homecoming Parade. Hosted on October 9th, the parade will feature various organizations, Mason High School clubs, and Mason Alumni. Everyone is welcomed to join in or cheer for the floats as they make their way from Rose Hill Cemetery to the parking lot of MHS. The festivities will start at 5:30 PMfollowed by the parade at 6:30 PM.
A panel of judges will pick the best float based upon this year’s homecoming theme, which is “Once Upon a Time: Every Story has a Dark Side”.
There will also be activities that follow, which be held in the High School parking lot.
Be on the lookout for an official registration form.
