On January 31, February 1, 7 & 8, Mason High School Theater will present Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in the school’s Studio Theater. Curtain for all shows are at 8pm with an afternoon matinee also offered on February 1. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students, and seniors. All senior citizens are invited to attend the final dress rehearsal on January 30 at 7pm free of charge. Tickets for all performances will be available at the door one hour before curtain, or online atwww.masondrama.com.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare is his play all about the silliness of young love. When a pair of young lovers flees into the woods to elope, they come across a feuding fairies and bumbling amateur actors on a midsummer night filled with magic, love potions, and mischief. This production of Midsummer has a modern setting of New York City and Central park, and will be performed in the round with no audience member more than fifteen feet from the stage. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is suitable for general audiences, but does feature some mildly adult Shakespearian language.
Midsummer features a cast of over twenty Mason High School students. The show features Dillion Drozdz as Lysander, Yaffa Muhlbaum as Hermia, Brandon Cole as Demetrius, and Lauren Magness as Helena, Cara Severenson as Titania, Ryley Arnold as Oberon, Jackson Smith as Flute, Nathan Carras as Bottom, and Sheila Raghavendran is Puck. The show is stage managed by Emily Falcone, assistant directed by Kelley Hammeran, and assistant technical directed by Ryan Burgdorf.

All performances will be held at Mason High Studio Theater. (6100 S. Mason Montgomery Road) Enter through the Natatorium and theater entrance. Be sure to arrive early because of parking and the walk to the performance space.
